JMS PTO 2007 - 2008 Year-End Review

  **  The months of April and May were busy with many plans for end of year celebrations.  The 8^th grade had a terrific party planned for them by their dedicated parents!  We celebrated teacher retirements, promotions and departures.  The Joyce made three trips to Canobie Lake –  the NJHS and Builder’s Club students, the Band and Chorus and the 8^th grade. The Pancake Breakfast and Raffle calendar were a big hit and the NJHS ceremony was touching and moving as always. Thank you to the parents who contributed all thoughout the year and in so many different ways. Your efforts are greatly appreciated by the entire JMS community.

 **  Looking to September we will have our officer elections at the September meeting.  We will announce the date at the beginning of the school year.  The committees we have are a great way to organize our many different activities and events. There is a PTO officer as resource for each, along with a committee chair(s) and as many volunteers who would like to help out!  The committees are:  Baking, Communication, Enrichment, FundRaising, Social and Volunteers-at-Large.  You may join in at any time.  Some of the yearly activities and contributions to the school are:  Election Day Bake Sales, Lobby Bulletin Board updates, an Enrichment Program for each grade, WMHS Scholarships, various fundraising programs, a Halloween Costume Party and assisting the teachers and staff throughout the year with the events they also sponsor.  The PTO is great way to share in and learn more about your child’s school day and all are always welcome.  We are looking forward to a great year this fall – see you then!
